1) UNIX Administration-A)Analyze complex infrastructure problems within the UNIX environment and propose solutions.

B)Write and maintain programs to monitor the Imaging infrastructure.

C)      Write and maintain programs to monitor the UNIX infrastructure.

D)      Write and maintain programs to automate complex tasks in the UNIX environment.

E)       Write and maintain Web servers to present information.

F)       Write and maintain web interfaces to present and gather . I information on our Backup environment to and from application development.

2)Installing and configuring the Solaris Operating system-

A)Performance tuning and upgrading.

3) Programming to monitor and enhance the UNIX infrastructure-A)Develop tools to automate various components of the UNIX infrastructure; administer the Storage Area Network the repository resides on; administer the Unix environment in which the repository resides.  Solid programming ability in Ksh, Perl and C will be used for customization and enhancement of our UNIX environment.

4) Disaster Recovery-A)Develop plans for recovery of repository in case of a disaster.  Tuning and configuration of Veritas Netbackup platform for restoration of environment, critical applications, databases, and servers.5) SUN Administration-A)Administer Entry Level to High End Sun servers (280R, V120, V210, e3500, V440, e6500, V490, T2000, E10k, E15k, E25k), storage arrays (A5200, D1000, 6140), high end Storage Area Networks (Hitachi 9960, 9980, 9990), Brocade SAN switches, Tape Libraries (L700, L8500), Symantec Veritas Clustering, SUN security, Apache Web server environment, UNIX based Databases, write programs to automate tasks within the environment. 6) Troubleshooting-A)Document troubleshooting problems that occur in this complex environment, review and contribute to planning the architecture of the environment.7)Systems  Design, Development & Management-A)Analyze complex infrastructure problems within the UNIX. environment and propose solutions

B)         Write programs to implement customized solutions after analysis.

C)       Builds and maintain programs to ensure the security and integrity of the UNIX environment.

D)       Develop and maintain systems to manage the complex enterprise backup environment that backs up servers with hundreds of terabytes weekly throughout the agency.

E)Develop statistical models for analyzing performance problems across the enterprise.

F)        Develop statistical models for analyzing security issues across the enterprise.

G)       Customize specialized software to perform Data Mining throughout the logs maintained on all servers.

H)      Customize specialized software to analyze UNIX Network security issues.     

Requirements for Staff A:

 

A)       Minimum four (4) years high level experience administering SUN Operating System environment on high end servers in a multi-platform environment or developing and implementing security policies in the UNIX environment.

B)      Minimum four (4) of experience with of UNIX Network and UNIX Server security.

C)   Minimum four (4) experience with Freeware Security products.

D)       Minimum four (4) experience with Network and Host intrusion and anomaly detection.

E)      Minimum four (4) experience with Host hardening and operating system patch maintenance.

F)      Minimum four (4) experience with UNIX programming.

G)    Minimum four (4) experience with performance and monitoring software in the sun environment.

 

               

Requirements for Staff B:

 

A)inimum (4) years high level experience administering  SUN Operating System environment on high end servers in a multi-platform environment.

B)  Minimum  (4) years experience with  Sun Enterprise 10000 and 15000 administration

C)Minimum

 (4) years experience with UNIX programming.D)

                Minimum (4) years experience with Software Raid tools.E)

Minimum (4) years experience with Sun SSP software.F)

Minimum (4) years experience with security in UNIX environment.G)

                Minimum (4) years experience administering Hitachi SAN hardware.

 

 

 

Requirements for Staff C:-A)

 

Minimum four (4) years high level experience administering the UNIX Operating System environment on high end servers in a multi-platform environment or developing programming solutions or enhancements to complex problems in the UNIX environment (Integration of diverse products into the UNIX environment).

B)      Minimum four (4) experience with two (2) languages in UNIX programming, such as PERL C, KSH, LISP, SCHEME

C)      Minimum four (4) experience with mathematical techniques to evaluate and develop statistical models of a computer environment.

D)       Minimum four (4) experience with mathematical modeling of computer security

E)       Minimum four (4) experience with computer security and networking.

F)       Minimum four (4) experience with UNIX operating system internals

G) Minimum four (4) experience with internet and web protocols.
