Our client is in search of a Data Warehouse Specialist. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Architecture Services, the Data Warehouse Specialist assumes overall technical responsibility for data warehouse architecture and ETL development.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include working with the Enterprise Data Architect to design and develop the logical and physical warehouse models for all areas; analyzing data sources to determine characteristics, including transformation rules required and data domains and anomalies; creating detailed source to target mapping specifications based on business requirements, source data and physical data model; participating in scoping exercises for new projects; and designing and executing
systems integration tests (SIT).
We are seeking candidates with a degree or diploma in Computer Science and a minimum of 8 years of IT experience and 5 years of experience within Data Warehousing architecture and modeling. A minimum of 3 years of experience with Data Modeling, ETL and BI tools is a must have. Demonstrated experience in establishing ETL processes, transformations, and design is also required.
We are in search of an adaptable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to work outside of normal business hours on occasion.
