Acting as a senior member of the team, the role involves the in depth diagnosis and resolution of NIRS2 Live Service support issues, focusing upon the delivery and operation of the NIRS2 application itself.

The team also undertakes core technology delivery projects as part of the overall delivery of future NIRS2 releases. These are typically infrastructure components that can then be used by other project teams to deliver "end user" functionality. Design flair and attention to detail are important characteristics

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 1 years experience within a similar technology focused role and at least one of the following:

C/C++ skills, preferably in a UNIX environment

Java expert skills, preferably in a UNIX environment

SQL programming skills, preferably Sybase or ORACLE

C# skills within .NET

Experience with XML and SOAP technologies are relevant.

Security Clearance an advantage.
