Network Analyst
Environment:
- 7x24 NOC
- High volume operations center
- 120 + managed enterprise WANs
- Application/server monitoring and management
- IDP monitoring and management
- team focused Environment
Responsibilities:
- Level 1-3 support, escalation of level 4
- Client notification of outage or threshold exceeded alarms
- trouble-shooting all WAN outages and performance issues
- taking end-user calls from entire client base
- configuring and implementing client security requests
- invoking client back up strategies
- accurate and detailed trouble ticketing
- take part in 7x24 shift rotation
- generating management reports for clients
- on site work as required
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- minimum 2 years trouble shooting wide area networks (MPLS,frame relay, ISDN, lease line, TLS, xDSL, wireless, etc)
- CCNA minimum, CCNP preferred
- minimum 2 years configuring and trouble shooting IPSEC connections (L2L, RAS) utilizing different vendor equipment. (Cisco, Netscreen, Checkpoint,etc)
- Familiar with trouble shooting LAN issues and Microsoft OS
- familiar with trouble shooting LAN devices (hubs and switches)
- data scoping experience an asset
- experience in high volume network operations center an asset
