Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer – Novell, CNE, Netware, Groupwise, NDS, Citrix, Arcserve. Our client, a Delhi based financial firm, seek to appoint a Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer to work with their busy IT department. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will need strong Novell skills and will preferably be qualified to Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) level or (CNA). # The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of NetWare and GroupWise in a multi-site, multi-server environment, including a good awareness of NDS. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will have experience of Citrix Presentation Server. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will also have experience of Microsoft products, particularly Windows NT/2000/XP, and Office would be advantageous. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will need experience of Arcserve. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will be customer service focused, a good communicator, have good analytical and problem solving skills and will be a team player, have excellent communication skills at all levels.

The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer will have experience of resolving user issues from the basic printer problems through to rebuilding a server that has failed, in a pressurised environment, which may require going to a remote site at short notice to ensure resolution within our SLAs. The role may involve occasional phone cover for first line support, a flexible approach to hours, 1 weekend in 7 or 8, some overnight work and stays away. The Novell Technical Support Analyst / Engineer responsibilities include providing technical support, ensuring SLA targets are achieved or exceeded, diagnosing and resolving technical support calls, system management and monitoring of the server and network infrastructure, to ensure efficient operation and to maximise system availability, maintaining documentation and liasing with third party suppliers.
