Oracle DBA fully versed in installation of Oracle 9I database and Oracle Application server 10g(min 3 years experience) for leading Software house based in the city. Daily activities will include installing Oracle Database 9I and Oracle Application server 10g or Oracle release 9.2I on both Unix and Windows Platforms. This is a client-facing role with variety offering travel abroad to client sites with locations such as Bangkok, Atlanta, Amsterdam. Working as the 3rd member of a team of 3 DBA's you will take on a more client-facing role as and when the other DBA's are busy on projects.
Your role will involve pre-sales from checklist, installation (desktop/application server/ database server) and configuration as well as documentation. From the pre-sales angle you will speak to clients looking for advice and direction on which system you would recommend for best performance. This is an extremely challenging role requiring dual excellence in communication and technical ability. If you enjoy socialising with colleagues and enjoy getting involved in extra curricular activities this is the ideal move for you. A combination of 3 years technical experience, excellent communication and degree educated to a minimum of 2:1 is preferred.
