Our client develops software solutions for the banking sector and they’re looking to hire a Functional Analyst, responsible for translating the product business requirement into functional specifications.

This function is not a technical role but would suit somebody with a strong accounting/banking experience who’s looking for a functional role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather business requirement, internally and on-site;
Analyse requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;
Translate these requirements into functional specifications understandable by the Applications Developers;
Advise on alternate methods of solving needs or problems, or recommends specific solutions;
Act as a single (functional) point of contact with the developers and coordinate product development (manage day-to-day progress of development and testing for the applications he/she is leading);
Effectively documents functional issues;
Whenever needed, write and maintain documentation to describe developments, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections;
Regularly contribute to general project meetings and conduct specific meetings related to projects he/she is leading;

 

5 years+ of experience working in the banking/financial area or as an Analyst in a banking environment;

University Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting would be an asset, but is not compulsory;

Thorough knowledge of banking products;

Relevant experience in functional area of banking IT projects;
