Our client is seeking a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager to act as the SEM project manager and liaison between internal business units, SEM agency, and the Global Web and Interactive Marketing teams. The SEM Manager is responsible for implementing strategy, managing campaigns, and enacting proactive optimizations of media, keyword generation, onsite interaction and creative development to achieve internal business and program goals. Responsibilities include:
Working closely with the Global Online Marketing Manager to plan paid and organic search initiatives and to help integrate search with all marketing initiatives and campaigns
Managing SEM project plans and communications and working with internal and external stakeholders to implement all SEM initiatives. Working with the SEM agency on an ongoing basis on campaign performance, optimization and reporting and inputting into recommendations for SEM Evaluating the impact of new search features and trends and identifying new areas for expansion opportunity Educating internal teams on SEM, SEO, and current initiatives and campaigns

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience implementing search campaigns on major search engines such as Google and Yahoo! or a minimum of two years of experience working with other online marketing channels.
Additional requirements include:
- Knowledge of search engines, paid search and SEO, including an understanding of search engine ranking factors and algorithms
- Analytical skills, including the ability to review campaign results and extract insights in order to improve performance; experience with web analytics preferred
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including strong project management capabilities
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision and to work effectively with a number of team members in a variety of departments in a wide range of job titles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- University degree preferred
