Based in North America, our Client has an excellent reputation in his industry as a supplier of highly sophisticated software/hardware technical solutions.
Working closely with local Management, the new SOFTWARE/HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER will work as a member of a Project Team and could occasionally lead a team of several IT Professionals for a specific project.
• Digital hardware design including high-level RTL (Register Transfer Level) and simulation
• Modern FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) design tools, preferably Mentor Graphics ModelSim, Synplicity Synplify and Xilinx ISE
• Microsoft Visual Studio V6.0 and .NET for development environment
• VHDL (Very high-speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and/or Verilog hardware description language
• USB (Universal Serial Bus) Cypress EZ-USB FX2 USB integrated microcontroller
• Programming in WIN32 environment including setting up threads and processes. Knowledge of MFC/COM (Microsoft Foundation Class/Component Object Model) is an added asset but is not a requirement
• Protocols and telecommunications programming particularly TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) but also x.25, ATM, GSM, etc.
• Interfacing/implementing cryptographic algorithms including both codebook algorithms (DES – Data Encryption Standard, IDEA – International Data Encryption Algorithm, AES – Advanced Encryption Standard) and public key algorithms (RSA and Diffie-Hellman)
