DESIRABLE Experience

 

1.       Cover the Help Desk taking/handling calls.
2.       Support Windows XP client and server.
3.       Troubleshoot problems that arise with the usage of Department hardware and software on our network.
4.       Assist customers with Lotus Notes version 6.X with questions/problems.
5.       Assist customers with any of the Department supported PC software.
6.       Support remote access with VPN and encryption.
7.       Assist customers with Microsoft Office 2003 with questions and problems.
8.       Enter call tracking information into Help Desk Tracking System (TrackIt).
9.       Prepare and manage images for various models of PCs.
10.    Install a variety of off-the-shelf software on PCs.
11.    Clone PCs for Department distribution.
12.    Translate the needs of the Department staff (customer) into technical solutions as needed.
13.    Assist in the distribution of PCs, peripherals, and software to Department employees and any transferring of data/configurations from old to new equipment/software.
14.    Apply software updates to PCs as requested for both new functionality and information security.
15.    Use good customer service and communication techniques when dealing with Department staff.
16.    Assist as requested in implementing new technology in the Department, for example, minor research, testing, etc.
17.    Perform inventory tracking tasks as required.
18.    Manage the loaner hardware pool.

MANDATORY Requirements:- Specialist I/ Help Desk Assistance
 

 

1.Three years of experience supporting Windows XP Operating Systems.

 

2. Microsoft Certified Professional certification.

 

3.All requirements listed in Project Definition Section 2.0, “Mandatory    Requirements.”
