JOB DETAILS

JOB BODY

. Responsible for internal desktop support (mainly windows XP environment)
. Expected to provide second (possibly first) tier product support for roll out of new hardware
. Server side support including (BSDs/ Linux/ Windows).
. Hardware purchasing and assembly.

Depending on the applicant, they may also be charged with;
. HTML/ PHP/ MySQL development and support
. Unix scripting/ Application deployment - server side.
. Commissioning a VOIP network.

About You.

Essential Characterisitics
. A genuine interest in computers.
. Proven capabilities at logical problem solving.
. Aptitude to apply previous solutions to recurring problems.
. Be attentive to detail.
. A sense of humour.
. Reasonably autonomous work ethic.
. Good communicator.
. Willing to learn.

Preferable Characterisitics
. An understanding of what a shell prompt is, and how to use it.
. Some interest in the open source/ Free OS community.
. Intimate knowledge of windows systems.
