Description: We are looking for a System Administator who can provide engineering and support for production and development environments running Solaris 10. This position will require the ability to work with developers, make suggestions, provide direction and integration for web services in a production environment to support a large number of visitors. Applicants should be willing to work in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to shift direction and multi-task effectively. Job Responsibilities: Installation, and troubleshooting of the Solaris 10 operating system, zones, and resource controls. Application troubleshooting for apache, apache modules, jboss, subversion, and shell and perl scripts. Provide network engineering and troubleshooting for communication between F5 load-balancer, apache, jboss, outside vendors, and end users. Interface with third party support and vendors. Researching, proposing and implementing new technologies. Engineering, development, and deployment of scripts and tools to support production, development teams, backups, and revision control. Create documentation and provide training, as needed.


Qualifications:Requirements: 5+ years experience with Unix managing large-scale environments (Solaris, Linux, HPUX, AIX). 2+ years experience in engineering, including SAN and NAS implementations, security, oracle deployments, working SQL knowledge, shell scripting, PERL, java application deployment, Apache web server compilation, configuration, and deployment. Good knowledge of local and wide area networks, widely used protocols, and load balancing.
