CadSoft Application Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·   Satisfying customers by answering their inquiries via all communication channels
·   Satisfactorily handle dissatisfied customers by elevating issues to CadSoft management or per company policy
·   Developing training for customers and PF employees
·   Recording customer contacts in  Customer Relationship Management system
·   Testing new releases of software, documenting failure sequences and reporting findings
·   Helping regional PF sales team sell  licenses
·   Providing back up support for questions from Technical Support Engineers
·   Identifying customer satisfying messages to use in marketing material
·   Generating the technical content of  marketing
·   Liaise with other CadSoft Application engineers in other parts of the world to share best practice and coordinate the technical support activities
·   Provide technical support to CadSoft distributors/resellers in APAC to satisfy customers’ requirements excluding  in-field support
·   Proactively address customer issues without local peer support
·   Provide timely answers during times of heavy customer inquiry
·   Self motivated and have the ability to work remote from direct line of mgmt
·   Understanding people whose second language is foreign from one’s own
·   Productively filling one’s time between servicing customers
·   Serving customers in multiple time zones
·   Communicating with a German speaking headquarters whose 2nd language is English

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·      Bachelor Degree in EE or Equivalent.
·      Minimum 3-5 years of electronic circuit design experience
·      Minimum 3-5 years of PCB design experience using a CAD SW tool
·      Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X
·      Minimum of 3 years of SW programming experience using C, C++ or JAVA
·      Database management experience
·      Excellent English speaking and writing skills  – other Asian languages a plus
·      Skilled technical writing
·      Knowledge of OpenOffice tools
·      Disciplined self-starter
Sales & marketing experience &  business acumen is strongly preferred
