ACADEMIC PROJECT
Project : VISUAL IDE FOR JAVA
Environment : Java, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, Oracle 8.0, Web Logic 4.0, and Windows NT
Description The project titled above mainly aims at generating a tool for creating applications. AVIDE tool should allow a programmer to create classes, graphic interfaces for the applications. The objects, their properties, methods should be created, and coded.
The main target of the VIDE tool is to generate GUI\'s as this task involves generating a lot of code. And lot of code means a lot of mistakes if done manually. Hence a tool for generating the required source code for a GUI application is very much help full.
The application will allow you to drag & drop the controls on to a frame from the control box which again has buttons representing various controls, to select a control, set the properties of the controls using a property widow, set the layout of the container controls using the layout chooser, write event handlers for the controls using the code editor window.
To generate the source code from the design and save them to a java source files. And generate design give source code. To combine the files in to a package, compile the programs thus generated and finally execute the same.
The java programmers will be the target users of this application. The application is generated using java, as it. is architecture neutral, platform independent.
In the present scenario, simple text editors such as notepad in windows are used to code java based applications. These applications are compiled & executed by using the JDK package.
Here we r using WATERFALL MODEL
We have developed this project as an developing applications in java for ECIL, The proposed system is useful for a programmer in developing applications in java. A user with a minimum knowledge can use this tool in developing applications. Even a beginner can use this tool with ease. This tool is useful in faster development of applications.
Responsibilities:

Involved in the coding and unit testing.
Developed HTMLs that are used to provide the web interface for the application.
