WORK EXPERIENCE
1. USB/E1 Based/PCI Based IVR Applications (Interactive Voice Response)
IVR applications like Fault Booking, Payment remainder, Payment enquiry, Trunk Booking, Billing software integration and Meter Reading announcement for BSNL, Ticket status enquiry for Railways had been built with the indigenous hardware. VXD was responsible for communicating with the hardware. An active x control will process the user commands like GO_ONHOOK, OFF HOOK, PLAY and RECORD. OCX will pass the parameters to the VXD and get back the results from the target device. Current status of any voice channel may be known by passing the appropriate parameters to the OCX. The system is completely Fault Tolerant. The payment remainder and Payment enquiry services were integrated with BSNL’s commercial packages through RS232 ports and TCP/IP.
Integration with BSNL’s third party billing Software like Trichur Package, Dot Soft etc...Which are Oracle systems based running in SCO UNIX server.

As a Software Testing Engineer, (with a team size of 4) of the Application Support Group was responsible for the follows –
• Preparation of Test Case and Test Plan
• Review of requirement specification.
• Testing the Application in manual /Automation Mode.
• Logging bugs, verifying the defects

2. COMS (Centralized Operations and Maintenance System)
This system will do the remote maintenance of C-dot’s, SBM/MBM/RAX256 type of exchanges. The system will collect the remote exchange’s various types of data through dial-up. The online prompt (maintenance command prompt) of remote exchange will be given to the centralized place through dial-up. With the help of this, the user can able to create/delete a subscriber without going to that remote exchange. This will communicate with the remote ExIn (Exchange Interface).

3. ExIn (Exchange Interface)
This system is developed to monitor & download the data from the telephone exchanges of types CDOT, OCB and E10B via RS232 port. The system stores the collected data into database. The data could be uploaded to the centralized system through dial-up network. Since the system acts as a remote interface for the exchange, authorized personal could login to the exchange from the remote place. The system alerts the corresponding maintenance personal in case of certain faults. The system also provides the soft/hard copy of the reports.

As a Software Testing Engineer, (with a team size of 4) of the Application Support Group was responsible for the follows –
• All stages of the SDLC in the ExIn project for client of BSNL in Various places in all over India,

4. Standalone IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)
Atmel 89c52 is used as a Heart for this IVRS module. This Module consists of onboard Memories such as Flash Memory (Hy29F016),Volatile Memory(Hy62c256),DTMF Decoder(8870),ADC 0820 and 4 bit ADPCM Voice IC from OKI(6588) to Playback/Recording, Rs 232 is used for Serial port communication, General purpose I/O for Interfacing capabilities.

This system was developed to automate the interaction with the customers using telephone lines to announce their current meter reading. The system comprises a Line Interface Unit to interface with the telephone lines. The system greets and guides the user with voice messages,

5. CBS (Call budgeting Service)
This system is developed to monitor the subscriber’s meter reading round the clock. Before starting the bill period each subscriber’s threshold will be fixed and they will be put under observation. If any body crosses the allotted threshold the inbuilt IVR application will call the subscriber and the required announcement will be given and the necessary action will be taken by the system. Exchanges of types CDOT, OCB and E10B were complied.
