 JOB DESCRIPTION:Our client is a leader in the engineering, manufacturing, installation and support of protection and control solutions for the industrial and utility sectors.
They are currently seeking a Hardware Designer to join their team on a contract to permanent basis.
A successful candidate for this position would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Product hardware design and validation
- Product component selection and testing
- Solving production and field failure issues
- Providing technical support for production and service and involvement in product certification
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must possess the following required qualifications:
- Undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Five or more years experience in hardware design in the relevant area
- Experience required with/in:
- micro-processor based embedded design
- high-speed digital circuit design and layout techniques
- communications hardware development (Ethernet, Fiber Optics)
- data acquisition system design techniques
- FPGA/CPLD design
